M.Tech project is designed to develop analytical skills in following areas:

A thesis statement focuses your ideas into one or more sentences. It should present the topic of your paper and also make a comment about your position in relation to the topic. Your thesis statement should tell your reader what the paper is about and also help guide your writing and keep your argument focused
Layout of thesis:
Thesis layout may vary as per guidelines of respective universities. It may
contain these following contents:
1. Abstract
Abstract should be clear to the readers. It should be answers to all these
following questions such as:
- What did you do?
- Why did you do it?
- What questions were you trying to answer?
- How did you do it? State the methods.
- What did you learn from it? State major methods.
- Why does it matter? Point out at least one significant implication.
Mention the numbers if it is required to present the comparison between existing method and proposed method which will provide clear comparison between these two. Your content should be unique and impressive.

It contains list of headings and subheadings with page numbers.

3. List of Figures
- List page numbers of all figures.
- Don’t write whole caption of figure, it should be a short title.
4. List of Tables
- List page numbers of all tables.
- Don’t write the full caption of the table just write the short title of the table.
5. Introduction
Introduction comes under the title of chapter one. Chapter one includes the
whole introduction of thesis topic. Be sure to include a hook at the beginning
the introduction. It is the statement of something sufficiently interesting to
motivate your reader to read the rest of the paper. The content of paper should
compel the reader to read the whole thesis.
- Problem Formulation
Problem formulation states the particular problem that mainly focused in this thesis.
- Objectives
The objective of thesis state that main motive of your thesis and which targets you are going to achieve.
- Organization of thesis
This is the major part of your thesis which describes the order of thesis. Generally thesis should be organized in a particular manner.
- Literature Survey
It includes the references that you consider to analyze the technology. You can read different papers from different journals under same topic so that you can determine the advantages and disadvantages of that particular technology and decide your objective of thesis.
- Research Gap
It mainly describes that what other authors had done on similar topics. What technologies they had applied and what are the flaws of that technology. It also describes what you are going to implement to overcome the drawbacks of existing technology.
6. Discussion
In this part, the complete explanation about the topic has given. It will
describe the technology we have preferred and how it is executed.
7. Results
It will show the result of your method. It also gives the comparison between
existing method and proposed algorithms. It includes the subjective evaluation
as well as objective evaluation. In subjective evaluation the visual comparison
between two results has given. And if effects and results of proposed algorithm
are compared using performance metrics tools then it is called as objective
evaluation.
So the comparison can be done in the form of tables. Novelty of your work will
depict from results of proposed algorithm.
8. Conclusion
Your conclusion is your chance to have the last word on the subject. The
conclusion allows you to have the final say on the issues you have raised in
your paper, to synthesize your thoughts, to demonstrate the importance of your
ideas and to propel your reader to a new view of the subject. It is also your
opportunity to make a good final impression and to end on a positive note.
9. Future scope
What will the future possibilities of your work? In which area work can be
done. In which area it can found their applications.
10. References
Cite a reference as, for example, “The threshold voltage is a strong function
of the implant dose [01].”
Note that there must be a space before the bracket. Follow some standard format
while writing references. For example you could look up IEEE transaction issue
and check out the format for journal papers, books, conference papers, etc.
Order of reference is most important.
